Lil Wayne. Whizzy F. Baby. Multi-platinum-selling hip-hop artist. FOJ (Friend of Jay-Z). Rock star. It's true. Lil Wayne's forthcoming album, Rebirth, will indeed by a rock album. How big are his balls? Pretty fucking big. In all seriousness, I give Lil Wayne much props for stepping outside his comfort zone of dope beats and venturing into the relm of shredder guitar solos. Hip hop radio stations have offered fans a preview of his new sound. Reactions have been mixed. Time will tell if this proves to a misstep for him. But, I believe the music industry needs more artists like Lil Wayne who refuses to be categorized or limited.
