I wanted to shine a light on one of my favorite funk bands, Talking Heads. That's right! Talking Heads, led by David Byrne, who showed the world that Caucasians can bring the funk. They are the perfect group. Don't believe me? Check out "Once In A Lifetime" the next time you're downloading tunes for the old ipod. The baseline, supplied by Tina Weymouth is pure gold. "Burning Down the House" was written after David and the other Heads attended a Parliment concert. Ah yes, Talking Heads, proving that rock and funk can come together like chocolate and peanut butter. Mmmmm.....delicious!
