Remember Wicked Wisdom? Never heard of 'em, huh? Well, I wish I never heard of Fall Out Boy but that's just me. Wicked Wisdom is a pretty decent heavy metal band led by Jada Pinkett Smith. I'm sure you've heard of her and her husband but that's not the point. Sistah Jada has dared to go where very few Women of Color have gone before....the Moshpit. And bless her. She and the Wisdom are doing their thing showing that they can headbang with the best of them. They have performed at Ozfest and appeared on David Letterman. Wicked Wisdom may be called a vanity project by some. With songs about sexual abuse and codependency, Wicked Wisdom has proven to be more than just a puff band but one of substance with a sound to match. Here's hoping the Wisdom is just getting its feet wet and will bless us with more sounds of thunder and...er...wisdom.
