Let me start off saying that I like the movie 1981 Heavy Metal and the comic book it was based on. The movie overall is great. You can't go wrong with cartoon sex or avenging warrior goddesses chopping off heads and taking names. However, Heavy Metal could be better. Come on, you can't have a movie called Heavy Metal without heavy metal music. Now, I love Blue Oyster Cult. I love Stevie Nicks. I love Journey. I love Devo. These ain't heavy metal acts. How about some Judas Priest or Iron Maiden? Oh well. I'm just saying. Heavy Metal's a good movie that could be better.
