Hey, I just found your blog today. I'm a black woman who loves rock, and have my whole life since growing up in the 70s, one of the greatest eras for music because every song from cheesy pop tunes to Bob Marley had guitar solos in them!
I was sad to hear about Phoebe Snow.
Did you also know that Poly Styrene of X Ray Spex died around the same day? She was one of my idols in high school, along with Anabella from Bow Wow Wow (another rockin woman of color).
