Trent Reznor is at it again. This time Marilyn Manson is the subject of a recent Reznor tirade. Reznor thinks that Manson is on a one-way trip to Elvisville - that's bloated, pantsuit, Vegas Elvis so that we're clear. In a recent Mojo interview Reznor calls Manson "a dopey clown" and claims that "drugs and alcohol rule his life." Maybe Reznor is advocating an intervention for his former protege. (If Reznor's observations are true, I, for one, would love to see Marilyn Manson clean and sober and shocking scores of evangelicals like the old days.) Or maybe Reznor's frequent and critical tirades are crass attempts at self-promotion for the summer tour of his once relevant band. Maybe it's both.
